Kenaikan SST 2024 Impak Shopee Naikkan Caj

 

In line with the Budget 2024 speech released by the Malaysian Ministry of Finance on 13 October 2023, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department has announced that effective 1 March 2024, the Sales and Service Tax (SST) rate will be increased from 6% to 8% on prescribed taxable services except where specifically exempted.

In view of the above announcement, Shopee will revise the SST rate for platform fees charged to sellers from 6% to 8% effective 1 March 2024.

Take note that SST is incurred on top of transaction fee, Marketplace commission fee, other applicable marketing programme service fee(s), Seller Wallet high frequency withdrawal fee (if applicable), Shopee Marketing Packages, and Paid Ads credits.

The breakdown for different types of fees under Shopee is presented in the table below, with the charge before and after 8% SST.
